Station for measuring valve train mechanism
Martinček, Matej ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with valvetrains of internal combustion engines. For the right function and for the future development of valvetrains is important to know their characteristics. One of the characteristic is dependence of valve lift on angular position of camshaft. For this purpose was developed and build universal station where is possible to measure this characteristic.
Cyclic Engine Visualization
Fajkus, Jan ; Granát, Jiří (referee) ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (advisor)
Objective of this thesis was acquaint oneself with theory of cyclic engines, understand their principle, describe their conjunctive and different properties. Program part consisted in creating visualization of chosen engines in C/C++ language using openGL.
Design of a device for the analysis of hydraulic damper valves
Čupr, Martin ; Jeniš, Filip (referee) ; Macháček, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a device for a stand-alone hydraulic damper`s valve analysis. The main goal is to construct a jig, where the valve is firmly attached, so it can be exposed to high-pressure oil flow, simulating the real conditions in a damper. In this thesis, the valves of the two specific hydraulic dampers were chosen. The jig was designed to enable testing of these valves loaded by operating pressure up to 32 MPa. As the jig is universal, it allows testing of any similar-sized valves. Moreover, it provides the possibility to test two valves at the same time and analyse their cooperation. The jig presented in this thesis was designed for the development purposes. However, the same principle can be used as a control jig in serial manufacture. This approach enables to measure both the valve`s pressure drop and the current volumetric flow rate of oil. Consequently, all the main characteristics of the valve which are derived from these two quantities can be invetigated. When the cooperation of two valves is analysed, the ration between volumetric flow rates in each valve can be determined.
Alternative conceptions of combustion engines
Šťáva, Martin ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor´s thesis on the topic Alternative conception of combustion engines is description of chosen historical and present alternatives to conventional piston combustion engine with crankshaft. The aim of this thesis is to create thesis that relates description of historical evolution of alternative construction combustion engines. Alternatives are described in terms of construction, operating principle and properties. In past were developed plenty of different conceptions of combustion engines. However most of them have never been successful because of many technical problems, complicated construction or other shortages.
Valveless Plunger Pump
Machů, Tomáš ; Kozubková, Milada (referee) ; Melichar, Jan (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with valveless reciprocating pumps. Within the thesis several designs of pump geometry are demonstrated. Their parameters were obtained using computational fluid dynamics. Reciprocating piston movement was simulated by time dependent inlet boundary condition or by dynamic mesh. The individual variants were compared mainly from point of view of volumetric efficiency, which was the main evaluated parameter. Results of calculations are presented as dependencies of volumetric efficiency on frequency and amplitude of piston motion and on value of backpressure. Two variants of the prototype pump geometry were manufactured to experimentally validate parameters obtained from calculations. Volumetric efficiency together with hydraulic efficiency were evaluated from measured data.
Line for manufacturing parts for car engine volume thermoforming
Smola, Jiří ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Omes, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design valve production line for combustion engines by volume forming with heat. The production of line will be 2 500 000-10 000 000 pieces per year. In the introduction of this thesis are described production technologies. Next part is about design of production lines and description of each machine for each technology. Then are made the basic calculations for designe for each machine.
Valvetrain of Compression-ignition Tractor Engine
Mikula, Vojtěch ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the main types and parts of the valvetrain systems of four-stroke engines. In the first part of the thesis are presented the most widely used versions of valvetrains and their use in the tractor engines. In the next part of the thesis is performed the construction and stress calculation of the valvetrain according to proposed proportions.
Automation of track for measurement of water valves characteristics
Lekeš, Pavel ; Havlíková, Marie (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
My diploma thesis describes upgrade of flowbench serving as test rig for regulation valves characteristic measurement. At the beggining, there is an introduction to the water regulation valves theory followed by current machine condition description. Next chapter defines needed improvements and at the end follows proposition of improvements and necessary component definition and final realization. Final chapter summarizes complete project.

Wireless thermostat
Králíček, Martin ; Viščor, Ivo (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
The Master’s thesis discusses wireless thermostat for a control boiler. In order to complete the project we have to design and realise the whole project with software design. The system contains two units, a master control and a measurement of regulation units. The project initially talks about regulation of heating systems for family houses and larger buildings like schools and stores for example. Next, the project describes the control and regulation units and their potential extension for effective and economical operation. Both units are equipped with microcontrollers, which these control each of function. The communication between both units is provided by wireless interface in free radio band ISM. There is a user interface for the master control unit’s regulation process. The measurement and regulation unit has only the possibility to switch between manual and automatic control for regulation of heating system.
